I am proud that the results of the last four years show I delivered on my commitments:
  • I am very pleased to report that our county supervisors have agreed that this funding should revert to our city in the future (this would be a 10% increase in our general fund). We have had unanimous support in the state senate and assembly and the governor signed the bill three weeks ago.
  • By forming the first school ad hoc committee in Saratoga’s history and partnering with our schools, we have improved traffic flow at most Saratoga schools and access to school fields for sports.
  • I have led the revitalization of the Village by attracting new businesses to the Village and investing in the storefronts, sidewalks, and Blaney Plaza.
  • I have driven safety improvements in the El Quito area, Oak Street, the library, and Herriman crossing.
  • I improved neighborhood relationships with Montalva and the Farmer’s Market with creative solutions to traffic and access issues.
  • I convinced the council to hire the grant writer that got the city a $160k grant for safe routes for kids, and I convinced Monte Sereno city council to spend $80k of their park money with Saratoga.
  • Our Council has enabled construction and improvement projects at the Library, Fire Station, Saratoga-Sunnyvale Gateway, Blaney Plaza, Azule Park, and Congress Springs Park.
  • Money Magazine named Saratoga the 26th most liveable small city in America.
  • I worked on the De Anza and Saratoga-to-the-Sea trails, and we completed the first ordinance to protect trees in our city.
  • I am one of the founders of the Saratoga Monte Sereno Community Foundation.
